On Wednesday 7 May 2025 we played our home semi-final En Passant Cup match v Petts Wood, winning 5 - 1
Maidstone 4 v Petts Wood & Orpington 4

An excellent victory which puts us into the final of the En Passant Cup for the 2nd year in a row.
Andrejs played a very accurate game against Orla, eventually putting some pressure around her King which forced her to resign.
Bob went a piece down against a very talented junior player but managed to fight back, finding a nice mating net at the end and delivering checkmate.
After a strong opening start from Mark Pearce, Alan won an exchange in the middle game and managed to secure victory in a two rooks versus rook and knight endgame.
Mick and Roy had a very solid game until a calculation mistake by Roy in time trouble towards the end of the game meant Mick won a rook, and the game finished shortly afterwards.
Unfortunately I didn't see as much of Liam and Cristian's games, but congrats to the team as a whole for a convincing win.
The final will now be played at St Mary's Cray on Saturday 31st May.
We also have a semi-final match in the Lewis Cup against Beckenham & Bromley which will be played on the 21st May.
